Last year I worked with collegues to develop a Community of Practice for Librarians on Patient Safety. I am now inviting you to join the modest initiative that has since then been launched at: https://librariansptsafetycop.wikispaces.com/
Please join us and help take this site from its infant stage to that of a robust, expert community that will share strategies and develop content to further the role of enhanced information and knowledge transfer in the reduction of medical error.

Lorri

Lori,
I haven't yet visited the wiki, but wonder why it can't be expanded to cover all knowledge and information professionals who work in healthcare rather than only librarians.
I have recently run an experimental wiki for the National Patient Safety Agency in the UK and we have learned quite a lot from this. Happy to share thoughts on the use of collaborative technologies to improve patient safety with you.
Kind regards,
Clive
Clive: this CoP started with this community. I'll gladly pitch to the intial group the notion of opening it more broadly and we can take it from there. My condier is that I don't want it to turn into an "IT" forum, but as long as the conversation stays on point, I am fine with opening the CoP up to more individuals. Thanks for your interest!
